A short poem inspired by accidental poetry overheard in a hall.
Remember When I Crocheted the Virus?
Remember when I crocheted the virus?
It was soft and deadly plush
Like afternoon rain growing into a thunderstorm,
Setting off a wildfire.
What I'm saying is, I authored that destruction,
But I made it with care, out of love.
